Coalition Denies Houthi Claims of Targeting Riyadh: “Taiz Defeats Are Driving Them to Invent Imaginary Victories”

The Arab Coalition supporting Yemen’s internationally recognized government has denied claims by the Houthi militia that it targeted the Saudi capital, Riyadh, describing the allegations as “misleading and baseless.”

According to the statement, the Coalition spokesperson said the Houthi claims come amid military losses suffered by the group on several fronts in Taiz governorate, arguing that the militia is attempting to manufacture “imaginary victories” to boost the morale of its fighters and divert attention from developments on the battlefield.

The spokesperson added that the Houthis’ intensified media campaign also seeks to cover up their personnel and field-command losses, as well as growing public frustration and discontent in areas under their control.

The Coalition reaffirmed its continued support for Yemeni government forces and said it would maintain a high level of readiness to confront potential threats.

It also stressed that operations aimed at protecting regional security and stability would continue.
