REAKING | Names revealed: 10 Houthi field commanders and supervisors killed on Taiz fronts

The Houthi militia has suffered significant losses among its field commanders and supervisors during the latest fighting across several fronts in Yemen's Taiz governorate, according to field and security sources.

The sources said a number of Houthi members, particularly those from Dhi al-Sufal district in Ibb governorate, were killed, wounded or captured during the recent clashes.

According to the sources, preliminary information based on battlefield accounts and information reportedly obtained from a captured Houthi fighter indicates that more than 10 Houthi members and field commanders were killed in the fighting, while others were wounded or taken prisoner.

Among those reportedly wounded is Abdulrahman Ahmed Abdulkarim Wajih al-Din, whom the sources identified as the Houthi-appointed director of Dhi al-Sufal district. He was reportedly seriously wounded and transferred to Sana'a for treatment.

The sources identified several of those reported killed, wounded or captured as Abdulrahman Mohammed Sufyan Wajih al-Din, Tariq Mohammed Dahan al-Zura'i, Abdulkarim Fadl Abbas Wajih al-Din, and Rashid Abdulrazzaq Abdu Hassan. The information available so far does not include the names of all those reported killed in the clashes.

Witnesses cited by the sources said several bodies were left in valleys and positions where fighting had taken place after Houthi fighters withdrew from some front-line areas.

The developments come as fighting continues across several fronts in Taiz, amid reports of mounting casualties among forces involved in the ongoing battles.

Following the latest losses, local calls have resurfaced in Ibb governorate urging that young men from the area not be sent to the front lines as the fighting continues to claim lives.
