Yemeni Ambassador in Ankara Thanks Türkiye for Reviewing Residency Fees
Mohammed Saleh Tariq expressed his appreciation to the Turkish government for its understanding toward residents in Türkiye, particularly members of the Yemeni community, following the review of residency-related fees.

In a statement published through the Yemeni Embassy’s account on X, Ambassador Tariq praised Türkiye’s positive response in reconsidering residency fees, noting that the move would help ease financial burdens on Yemeni residents.

He emphasized that the initiative reflects the deep historical ties and brotherly relations between the two countries and highlights Türkiye’s humanitarian approach toward the Yemeni community living on its territory.

Tariq also affirmed that the embassy will continue coordinating with Turkish authorities to facilitate procedures for Yemeni citizens and follow up on issues concerning the community.

The remarks came after Presidency of Migration Management announced revisions to previously increased residency fees, a decision welcomed by many foreign communities in Türkiye, especially Yemenis.
